Brandermill Woods events are open to the public

• Tuesday, November 10, 7 p.m. — Chesterfield Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) Director Monica Hughes will give a PowerPoint presentation overview of LLI, the organization designed to meet the social and intellectual needs of those 50 years and “better.”
• Friday, November 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — A holiday bazaar featuring many different vendors will be held in the Brandermill Woods clubhouse meeting room.
• Tuesday, November 17, 7 p.m. — Alzheimer’s Association representative Merle Kahn will lead a support group for caregivers and others whose family members are affected by Alzheimer’s. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse card room.
• Monday, November 30 — Lifeline Screenings will provide four noninvasive medical screenings for $139, in the clubhouse meeting room. The procedures include carotid artery, atrial fibrillation, abdominal aortic artery and peripheral arterial disease screenings. Bone density screening may be added for an additional $10. • Monday, December 7, 2:30 p.m. — Donna Deekens, author of “Christmas at Miller & Rhoads: Memoirs of a Snow Queen” will read excerpts from her book and sign copies. Deekens played the Snow Queen for the “real” Santa in the downtown Miller & Rhoads store from 1971 to 1991.
Tuesday, December 15, 7 p.m. — Piano virtuoso Don Irwin will perform a concert in the meeting room. Irwin displays an extraordinary talent, and his charming personality adds fun to the performance.
